How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your Strift account directly from within the app. Here's how:
In-App Deletion (Recommended):
- Open the Strift app on your device
- Go to Account
- Tap Account & Security
- Select Delete Account
- Confirm your decision when prompted
Can't Access the App?
If you're unable to access the app or having trouble deleting your account, you can submit a deletion request by contacting us at:
help@get-strift.com
Please include your registered email address and "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line. We'll process your request within 30 days.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, all of the following data will be permanently removed from our servers:
- Account Information: Your email address, profile details, and account credentials
- Health & Fitness Data: All steps, weight logs, BMI records, and calorie tracking data
- Personal Challenges: Your created challenges, progress, achievements, and streaks
- App Preferences: All settings, preferences, and customizations
⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Please make sure you want to proceed before confirming deletion.
Deletion Timeline
Your account and all associated data will typically be deleted within:
- Immediate: Your account will be deactivated immediately upon deletion
- Within 30 Days: All your data will be permanently removed from our servers and backups
After Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- You will no longer be able to log in to Strift
- All your fitness data and progress will be lost
- You can create a new account at any time, but will need to start fresh
- Your data cannot be restored or transferred to a new account
Revoking Health Data Access
Even after deleting your Strift account, you may want to revoke the app's access to your device's health data:
- iOS (Apple Health): Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Strift → Turn off all permissions
- Android (Health Connect): Settings → Apps → Health Connect → App permissions → Strift → Remove permissions
